Since April 2026, the export tax rebate policy for low-end bathroom products such as ordinary ceramic toilets and washbasins has been adjusted, increasing cost pressure on the industry. However, high-value-added, deeply processed products such as smart toilets, thermostatic showers, complete bathroom cabinet sets, and customized shower rooms still receive tax rebate support. Market signals are guiding companies to move away from the low-price, high-volume model and increase investment in the research and development of smart and water-saving products. Many bathroom factories in production areas are adjusting their product structure, focusing on ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) customization business, reducing homogeneous low-price competition, and transforming into suppliers of complete bathroom solutions, relying on product added value to hedge against the risks of fluctuating export costs.
